In March Kultúrvágány at the Annuska

This spring, Boutique Hotel Annuska will once again become home to a community of artists, giving a new impetus to the artistic life of Balatonfüred, as we will be hosting the artists of the Kultúrvágány Artists’ Colony for the third time.

For a whole week in March 2025, the participants of the Artists’ Week will work together, get inspired and share their professional experiences to create new works of art, which will be presented in a special exhibition at the end of the Artists’ Week.

Artists from across the border and sculptors join the community

A special feature of this year’s event is that Hungarian artists from across the border, from Transylvania, will join the community. Among the invited artists we welcome Enikő Daczó from Sfântu Gheorghe, whose works deal with the themes of passing and creation, and who has already exhibited in several exhibitions in Hungary. We will also be joined by Levente Albert from Sfântu Gheorghe and Mátyás Sárosi, a graphic artist and painter from Târgu Mureș.

This year, three new sculptors will join the artists’ collective, which was previously based on painters.

Among the invited contemporary artists is Rita Varga, a painter whose work incorporates both photographic processes and conceptual photography. Bálint Miksa, a painter, will also be featured in the closing exhibition of the Kultúrvágány art camp, drawing attention to his uniquely developed, organically growing imaging methodology.

Another guest artist will be Tibor Iski Kocsis, whose work boldly combines traditional painting techniques with modern photographic style and addresses global social issues. And of course, for the third time, we will be joined by Márton Romvári, co-organiser of the Kultúrvágány, who, together with Gyöngyi Nagy, will ensure that artists are enriched with new inspirations.

The artists’ colony closes with a special exhibition

As a fitting finale to the Artists’ Camp, which will take place from 22-29 March, the founders of Kultúrvágány are organising a special exhibition where participants can showcase their works.
